Alexander Donald McLeod

Alexander Donald McLeod (1872–1938) was a Reform Party Member of Parliament in the Wairarapa region of New Zealand. He was Minister of Lands (1924–28) and Industries and Commerce (1926–28) in the Reform Government.

Alexander McLeod won the Wairarapa electorate in the 1919 general election, and held it to 1928,[1] when he was defeated. He won the seat back in 1931, and retired in 1935.[1]

Independent

Alex McLeod was elected as a 'Coalition Independent' in 1931.[2][3][4] He was a close associate of Gordon Coates.[5]
